Music, Please !

Williams (right) greets a young female and her dad as they prepare to attend the U.S. Navy Band's Holiday Concert at DAR Constitution Hall in Washington DC on 15 DEC 07. RIGHT - (left to right) Cadet (Seaman) K. Herbert, Instructor/Medical Officer J. Lavoie, MSN, and Cadet (Seaman Apprentice) B. DeShong, prepare to greet VIPs and guests at the Navy Band's Holiday Concert. After performing the greeting and program distribution mission, the Cadets and Adult Volunteers enjoyed the Concert from Reserved Seats, offering a good view of the stage and Santa's Grand Entrance.
LEFT - U.S. Navy 4-Star Admiral Jonathan W. Greenert, Commander U.S. Fleet Forces Command, went out of his way to spend time to chat with Mooberry Division Cadets. Here, ADM Greenert chats with Cadet (Seaman Apprentice) T. Nedd-Ludd, prior to the Navy Band's Holiday Concert on 16 DEC 07.
RIGHT - Santa made a special pre-Christmas Eve stop at DAR Constitution Hall to ask Navy Band's 2007 Commanding Officer, CAPT George N. Thompson, to whom Santa referred to as "the new guy," if the band members have been nice in 2007. CAPT Thompson told Santa they were "very, very nice."
Party On, Dude!
LEFT - It was a VERY LONG two days and nights for the unit (getting up at 0600 and getting home after 2230; then up again at 0600 and finally home after 2100), so here one Cadet takes advantage of a some downtime and catches a few winks. RIGHT - Ms. Herbert (left) and Santa? (Actually, Cadet (Seaman Apprentice) A. Stephens) getting ready for the unit's Holiday Party at the Naval Support Facility Anacostia in DC. Over 50 people attended and enjoyed the event.
Cadets, Adult Volunteers, Parents and Guests enjoy line dances at the Unit's Holiday Party.
Two of the Unit's newest Cadets, G. A. Edness and G. I. Edness, show their award-winning and amazing dance moves, as other Cadets and their guests look on.
Ah Yes, "The Chicken Dance!" (Fun to do at Any Age! - Almost as Funny Watching People Doing it!)
INST Madden thought the Party would be a good place to study for his College History Book - Wrong! Ms. Herbert led the charge of "The Conga Line" to get INST Madden into the dance mood. When he resisted, the Conga Line made a "Command Decision" and simply took INST Madden AND his chair into the line, as he continued his study. How's that for "multitasking?"
LEFT - With Cadets and guests dancing in the background; INST Lavoie and a new-found friend dance in the foreground. RIGHT - Cadets G.I. Edness and G.A. Beside NSCC Navy SEAL Training, Field Medic Training (Navy Corpsman in the field with the Marine Corps) is considered one of the most grueling physical and mental challenges a Cadet can face to "Test Your Limits! The Lan sisters pressed on against odds that were stacked against them, proving their determination and toughness. They both graduated, whereas many other did not. They were the only females to have withstood the vigor's of the tough, but very rewarding training. SA Anna Lan even earned an NSCC Citation Ribbon for being part of the most outstanding Team during the training!
